Frustration, anxiousness, happy, sad…the range of emotions our family has gone through during the process of our adoption (first with China and now with Korea) has been wide and deep. This morning we got the call we have been hoping to get for 3 1/2 years…the call to go pick up our new daughter, Halle.
We immediately made airline reservations to fly out on Tuesday, which isn’t as expensive as you would think for last minute tickets. We will be in Seoul for one week. We get to meet Halle the day after we arrive, but we wont actually have her until we leave on the 17th. We will try to get to know the city, its people and culture first hand. I know that isn’t nearly enough time, but it should be a great experience for all three of us….yes, Jake is coming with us.
I will be blogging from Seoul so make sure to check back often! Thanks for everyone’s support and love.

Hi there!
I met your wife via email just recently and we are sooooo excited for you. Travel Call (TC)!!! YAY! Congratulations. The best feeling in the world…next to meeting & holding your child…which you will be doing VERY VERY soon. So cool. I’m glad you will be blogging from Seoul. We’ll be following for sure. We look forward to meeting you (we were at the same travel meeting @ CHSFS in July). Our little guy came home 9 weeks ago. We look forward to having Halle and our little guy meet. Their birthdays are only about 5 days apart…if I’m remembering correctly.

Hi Clay,Jen and Jake-
Just wanted you to know that all the family will be following your blog while you are in Korea so that we can feel as much as possible that we are there with you. I have sent the information to everyone in the family as well as some of my dear friends who have been following your progress through the adoption process.
