My June Travels Are Done!

Sorry for not posting more.  That is what good temps in Minnesota does…gets you away from the computer.

This weekend in Chicago concludes this crazy month travelling. We started off by going to Vegas for my brother’s wedding. He lives in Phoenix and married a great woman in a really hot ceremony.  I did everything in my power to not sweat through my dress shirt.  It wasn’t even that hot in Vegas standards, but I am now a wimp that lives in Minnesota and not Phoenix…so let’s leave it at that.

After Vegas I had a couple of days to prepare for a camping trip to Gooseberry Falls on the north shore of Lake Superior.  A good friend took Jake and I and several other friends.  It was a lot of fun.  We did a nice long hike and saw some of the most amazing scenery.  At one point Jake thought he was going to die of exhaustion, but he’s glad he did it.

We finished our month of travels with a quick trip down to Chicago to see family.  We are all back and I finally get the chance to put my new charcoal grilling skills to the test.  I have always been a propane guy, but after watching some crazy BBQ special on the Food network (in HD of course) I really wanted a charcoal grill.  What Clay wants…Clay gets. :)     So, if you have any killer charcoal BBQ tips, send them my way!

I did get a new position at work recently.  I am back to managing web developers as the Director of Web Development Resources.  The people I work with are incredible.  I knew a lot of them…even managed a few when I started working there…and some I have just started to get to know, but they are all top notch and very fun to work with.
